Applicants must demonstrate a financial need, a commitment to remaining in business, and an inability to cover expenses requested through business income, savings, or remaining OEC Stabilization Funding (if awarded).

These funds may only be used by licensed child care providers who have a Child Care Subsidy agreement with the Department of Health and Human
Services.

Grants to Newfoundland and Labrador family child care centers to subsidize rates for childcare. Funding is intended to make child care more affordable for families with young children. The goal of the
grant program is to standardize childcare rates to benefit residents. The grant is based on the maximum number of children that can be present at one time, as reflected on the license or approval
certificate. Upon acceptance of the offer, centers must adjust parent fees to the maximum allowed.
